Little Turtle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Keystone: I'm archiving this cache, but it's a good kind of archive note: the cache owner has set up a new and improved cache to show off the history of this special spot. See the Battle of Fallen Timbers multicache here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=42934018-fbc6-4303-b348-ad6f8ebb4fea

Thanks to Good Dog for not just maintaining, but improving the quality of geocaches in Northwest Ohio.

Geocache Description:

While not officially part of the Good Dog Trail (because it is too close to another cache), this would be # 2.5 if you are following the loop.

Shoe box size cache with a blue lid. There is a lot of history here.

If you take the time to read the memorials you will get a bit of the history of the settlement of Ohio in the early 1800'S. The battle of Fallen Timbers (soon to be a shopping mall,if you can believe it) was a pivotal point in the settlement of the midwest and the USA. For more information look up web sites concerning General (Mad) Anthony Wayne, and "The Battle of Fallen Timbers". This is a nice easy find with a bit of history. While you are here, look for "Lockdown" and "Towpath Trail".
