The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location.
TEWKESBURY FORT Tewkesbury Fort, which no longer exists, was located near Southview subdivision. It was named for a local family. The fort was one of hundreds of Prescott Culture enclosures. Archaeologists theorize the forts were used to send smoke signals, for ceremonies, to represent a family’s power, or possibly to serve as redistribution or trade centers.
