DRAGON - CHILD

the Grapevine King's champion
Turning on the Twinkle!
and more...

Now, as this story begins, it is highly suggested you erase from your mind pre-conceived notions you may harbor as to the nature of dragons. As a species they are much maligned due to the egregious nature of a mere few dragon individuals whose choices have created chasms of misunderstanding and mistrust in their relationships with humans.

Throughout my life I have studied diligently the Dragon, as a species. It is difficult to knowingly locate members of the species for any purpose. It took decades for me to recognize the first several, and then another extended period of time before acceptance, and then trust was established between them and myself. This summary is simply to report on my experiences with, and the nature of dragons, as studied by Yours Truly.

Several years of interacting with individual dragons eventually led to Introduction to small family groups. Eventually the DIC (Dragon Invisibility Cloaking) spell was removed from my eyes and I witnessed for the first time larger communities living in Harmony. The amazing fact of close proximity to humans was revealed. It seems that Dragons actually adore humans, almost considering them as “pets”. Dragons are protective of all humans in general. When an individual human Sparks the special interest of an individual dragon there is a Bond that becomes strong beyond reasonable expectations. Dragons are indeed ferocious in their Dedication. A Dragon Never Gives Up on Its Human.

Zestful in their passion for humans, dragons are accustomed to being invisible contributors to the welfare of their wards. They are incredibly Empathetic. Their ultimate desire is to witness the joy experienced by their humans when all seems right in their world. When humans are stressed and experiencing unrest, dragons have been known to cry until they reach of a point of palpable hollowness. It’s as if for every tear shed there is more space created in the Thinking Part of their Heart. It is then that the empathetic, thinking heart connects with the brain to come up with ideas to implement a plan that will facilitate a return of their human to a state of comfort, peace and Joy.

Serious total immersion living with dragons did not prepare me for the acts of kindness that seems to be the Basic Nature of the majority of individuals. There is honesty in their words that can be so Frank as to be considered “brutal”. Brutal it may seem, but not from meanness. That is a non-existent motivator behind the actions of dragons.

Zealous is the first word I can consistently assign to the species. Shy, as creatures go, there is still an abundance of Absolute Appreciation of life thru travel, family, friends and laughter. Innate shyness can be set aside if the opportunity for Adventure looms on the horizon. They are Zestful in their expression of Wonder when confronted with the simplest of new experiences. They can be so Immersed in Child-like Awe at what could be perceived as “ordinary” by any other beings.

For a moment let’s address that “child-like awe”. Dragons are such a unique species in so many ways. One of the most intriguing characteristics of all Dragons is that when they emerge from their spectacularly colored eggs their bodies are physically infantile, of course. The essence of “who” they are, their spirit, their soul perhaps, is best described as “old” from hatchling status. Intellectually they know all there is to know. Emotionally they know pain and joy. It’s as if they have Experienced what would be the equivalent of a life-time of learning, sacrifice and accomplishment. They have an innate understanding of the source of love, trust, pain, pleasure, and even grief. You could ask, what purpose would they find to open up each new day. If they know it all, what is left to stimulate inquisitiveness and learning? Adventure is a part that is not complete in their personality. Add to that Creativity, Humor (usually a bit twisted) and Imagination, and you have the Magic Child formula of CHIA (as they call it)…and you thought CHIA pets were human inventions!

Throughout the early years the Dragon-Child goes thru a reverse learning process (as compared to Humans). They don’t Forget anything. Their challenge is to apply all they knowingness they are born with to find a balanced state of existence. The process is to keep their birth personality contained in a place that guides and protects. They must find their Adventure Age (AA) …an age where their view of the world is thru eyes of innocence, uncensored appreciation, awe and wonder. When they find the right balance, they spend their long lives in what could be described (as it compares to human development) at the optimum individual’s Child Age (CA). The most evolved and intelligent female Dragons “achieve” a child-age of about 7 (human) years old, while higher evolved male Dragons find 12 (human) years just about perfect. There’s no “best” age across the board. It is a very personal, individual state of perfection.

We could appropriately refer to all “mature” Dragons as “Dragon Children”. It would be a compliment to them. It would mean that all that is within their old soul is properly balanced. They are then free to experience Life’s Adventures fully as a Dragon-Child.

Once optimum Dragon Child Adventure Age is reached he/she is able to leave the proverbial nest to bond with humans. As a means to blending while interacting with humans the Dragon-Child evokes a secondary cloaking spell that allows Humans to see them as another Human Being, with appropriate changes (aging, physical changes, etc) over time. It has proven to be the safest way to assure acceptance and trust between the species. Individual humans are Astute enough to recognize that certain other “humans” are a bit odd or different than the “norm”, frequently referred to as “child-like”. It comes from recognizing there is something special in the relationship between Human and Dragon Child. It is just not in the Knowledge Base of humans to understand they are in the presence of a dragon.

Twinkling eyes are a strong indicator that a dragon has reached Dragon Child status. It’s as if the Spark that is within cannot possibly be contained or disguised. If you have eye contact with the human cloaked Dragon Child, and she sees the reflection of Her Twinkle in Your Eyes or Facial Expression, it is most likely she will burst out laughing uncontrollably. That momentary sharing of the Twinkle can result in days of giggles at the oddest times, without apparent reason. It is a Quizzical situation for sure.

Only the barest of Dragon Facts can be shared in this summary.

Forever is a reality for Dragons. Their time on this Earth is beyond measure. From time to time, when the Humans they have adopted as personal Pets transition thru their own lives Dragon Children may choose to dispel with the human form of their cloaking talents. They return to their own beginnings and disappear from walking among humans for a while. They crave the company of their two-legged friends so will always return to share the journey with their newest companions.

Twattling (idle talk) is another rather common characteristic of the Dragon Child. She “twattles” freely when her brain is engaged in internal self-dialog of a creative nature. Other Dragon Children know when they hear the prattle there is some CHIA to follow. Humans tend to miss the “tell”. In fact, humans too often and too soon tend to block out the twattling, not realizing it will be followed by a burst of creativity or something equally special.

Think about what you have learned here. Apply this description of the Dragon Child to other humans that strike you as a bit unusual in their physical appearance, a teeny-bit odd in personality, yet a bit cerebral. Maybe you’ve seen the Twinkle, and heard the Laughter. What conclusion can you reach about the odd human with the Child-like Acceptance and Joy of Life?

Forget your past learning about dragons. These words are Sincerely Truthful. If you allow yourself to Become Receptive to the message shared perhaps you’ll identify the Dragon Child who is your companion for all your life.

This is the most important thing you should remember about the Dragon Child : in the beginnings all intellect, all of what is needed to know, is already in place. Everything that follows after the beginnings is toward the goal of CHIA (Creativity, Humor, Imagination, Adventure). When you fully understand that you will find your own Dragon Child within.

Addendum to Report / Exciting Update:

Travel to San Diego in recent months has precipitated the release of this information about Dragon Children to the geocaching community (first) and the general public at a later date. While there the group I was traveling with stopped to observe an unusual tree near a very famous tourist location. It’s known as the Dragon Tree.

While the others in the party were simply looking at this tree I became immersed in observation & anaylsis of the tree. Then I saw the Twinkle!!!!!!! Yes, definitely a twinkle that was also seen, but the implications not understood, by another member of our party. I, on the other hand, am quite familiar with the Twinkle, and could hardly contain my excitement at this turn of events.

Upon returning back to Grapevine Hill I conferred with the Dragon Children. They were quite pleased at my discovery too. For generations unknown the story of the Dragon Trees, a closely related species, were said to be of legends, not reality. At best, if they ever existed they were considered extinct.

When my studies here are ended I will relocate to an area where I can study the Dragon Tree species. Seems they, like the Dragon-Children, are companion protectors of another living species that has also blended into the annals of historical legends. The EctoNemorphicTympanic (ENT) species of tree-like-creatures are long believed to be extinct, at best, but most likely imaginary.

Meanwhile, the existence of a Dragon Tree means there must still be ENTs needing the loving protection of the dragons….and THAT is quite exciting!
