Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location.

INNER LOOP ROAD The Inner Loop was a 43-mile round-trip from Prescott. Most travelers began this scenic route by heading northwest through Miller Valley and north on Simmons Highway, to American Ranch Inn. They headed back using the Inner Loop Road, which started approximately where Granite Mountain Stables is now, traveling east toward Jerome Junction (Highway 89) and veering south to Granite Dells. The Inner Loop Road was eventually closed when traffic increased to a point where the Harold James family closed the gates. Another road, approximately two miles north, known as the Chino cutoff, connected Highway 89 and Simmons Highway. That popular road became known as the Outer Loop Road in the 1980s. Arcadia Publication's, Williamson Valley Road Permission for this placement was given by the owner of this establishment. Feel free to drive up next to the GZ.
