The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. If you like this series please give it a favorite point at the multi cache at the park (#040 WVRd Series). New caches will be published throughout 2014. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE RANCH
In 1950, the Prescott Evening Courier reported that the students at Lincoln School took a field trip to the Red, White, and Blue Ranch to study “ranching, one of Arizona’s economic factors.” The ranch buildings were painted red, white, and blue. The ranch has changed owners and names a number of times and is currently owned by Swazy and Kathy McCraine, a rancher from Prescott who specializes in Western writing, photography, and publishing.
