Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location.

MINT CREEK Granite Mountain is the water source for Mint Creek, which flows north up Mint Wash, through Mint Valley, to the historic Simmons townsite. According to Will Croft Barnes’s 1988 book Arizona Place Names, “Tradition says there were large beds of fragrant mint near head of this stream.” In 1920 Mint Creek flooded Mint Valley near the Stringfield Ranch. In 1983 flood waters devastated the area. The Curtis family’s Mint Creek Ranch, west of the Stringfield’s ranch had water year-round in 1910. Arcadia Publication's, Williamson Valley Road
