Geocache Description:

A cache series inspired by one of the best lines in the history of movies: "Why is there a watermelon there?"

(I know you know, but to re-enjoy, check the related web page)

The coords will take you to the proximity of something unusual - sometimes bewildering, sometimes awe-inspiring, sometimes imbecilic. Possibly something frightening, maybe eye-rolling - but always something interesting. In any case, I hope your reaction will be "What's THAT Doing There?

----------------

Why here, in the crusty part of the city - literally the other side of the tracks - do we see figures of such majesty, participants in the ongoing battle between Good and Evil. (Look down the street to the south.) I thought I had been told that these guys played their part quite a long time ago, and in a place a long way away. But apparently both Good and Evil still turn up in unexpected places, and at unexpected times.

There is no reason to go near the building, which is a craft Port winery. The owner is aware of the cache, and so won't bother you. If you're interested in wine making, or just like Port, feel free to stop in for a tour. (He was also very impressed with my geocaching spiel, and may join us - woo-hoo!) Cache has room for small trade items, if they would fit in something the size of oh, say, a magnetic key holder perhaps (cough cough). You should bring your own pen. Please rehide as you found it.
