Riverside Rock Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sunflowersu: It is with much regret that I am archiving this cache. It is one of my earlier hides and in a much used area, both by locals and vacationers. Unfortunately, it has come up missing again; about the fourth time. People/muggles love to take magnetic key holders. It has been fun over the years-- 7 to be exact. I wish I didn't have to archive, but I am not "wasting my money" on continual replacements. Thanks for visiting and playing "the game." --sunflowersu

Geocache Description:

You may walk, bicycle or jog to this cache, which is hidden near the Loudonville Pedestrian and Bicycle Pathway. Because it is a high traffic area, especially in late afternoon and evening, stealth may be required. Closest parking is on either side of Riverside Park.

This pathway, sometimes called the Pathways Bikepath, is paved asphalt running more than a mile from Riverside Park along the Black Fork River and then along the tree-lined west side of State Route 3 to the Mohican State Park campground A entrance. The path was built solely with donations and volunteer labor in 2006. It is dedicated in memory of Garrick Tuttle, supported by the Samaritan Hospital Foundation. A bridge (116 feet long with a 14 foot-wide bike path span) was added in 2009 connecting the east and west sides of Riverside Park, and completed the pathway to downtown Loudonville for campers and bicyclists traveling from the Mohican State Park. The east side of Riverside Park has play equipment for children and a picnic pavillion; the west side has ball diamonds, a soccer field and a fenced dog park. Cache has been moved away from Riverside Rock and the walking path. You do not need to go down the embankment towards the river. It is away from the river, closer to the road. This is now considered a micro; not a small container. Let your geo-sense kick in. Enjoy the find!

Please DO NOT add photos of the cache area to your log. Congratulations to "fairyleg" for FTF and to TimberClan for 2ndTF!
