Basket Range 9: A Famous Sandstone Quarry.
The ninth cache in my Basket Range series.
Since 1890 Basket Range quarry has been continuously Quarrying and supplying South Australia with a high quality, characteristic and elegant building product. Used in such iconic buildings as Parliment House, Carrick Hill and Marble Hill along with hundreds of Adelaide and Hills homes. It stands as one of South Australias last sandstone quarries still supplying various types of cut and raw sandstone. TB for FTF!!
