Geocache Description:

Hidden in a small, camoflauged plastic container. There is a gravel service road that goes beside the school and a church parking lot beside the location.

"The Lincoln School was built in 1920 by the Flemington Board of Education. A site was needed to educate the children of black coal miners in the area. It also served as a church on Sunday. This is one of the first one room black schools built in W.Va. Integration began in 1953 and the school closed in 1954."

I didn't know until I hid the cache that this school is also a museum with artifacts viewable from the windows, but I couldn't find when it is open.

Congrats on FTF to delGuidice & Kallisto13
