Java Jolt Traditional Cache

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

Located in the Queenswood Heights ravines in Ottawa, Ontario. The terrain tends to be a little muddy for a couple of days after rain, so wear your rubber boots. Well kept and frequently travelled trails at first. The only major obstacle is crossing a small stream (about 10 feet wide). There are usually fallen logs across the stream to help you across, but you may have to wade.

Hey everyone! This is a standard sized geocache, hidden in an old green ammo box. The initial contents all relate to our national obsession, Tim Horton's coffee.

To find the cache, park at Reine-des-Bois elementary school (only during non-school hours) or at the Queenswood Heights Community Centre. Walk behind the school until you reach the portable classrooms. Walk down the small hill and follow the path near the dried out streambed until you reach the stream. Cross the stream, and stay near it until you reach the coordinates. This cache is difficult to do in winter if there has been freezing rain or a warm day/quick freeze overnight. The hills can get very slippery when they are ice covered.

The initial contents are:

- a logbook, pencil and pencil sharpener
- large Tim Horton's coffee refill mug
- 2 red and black Tim Horton's toques
- red and white Tim Horton's baseball cap
- Tim Horton's 2002 Hockey Calendar
- 20 Minute Fresh coffee pin
- Customer Service pin
- Soup and Sandwich pin
- Winning Roll-up-the-Rim tab for a cookie
- Tim's Times newsletter
- 6 Gourmet Tea Bags (counts as 1 item)
- 1 homebrew coffee pouch
- 1 bag of assorted foreign coins found in daily cashes

There is also some small plastic bags to help "Cache In-Trash Out". These do not count as an item. If you find that the bag supply is getting low, please let me know and I'll go add some more. You can dispose of the bags of garbage in the dumpsters beside Reine-Des-Bois school.
