The Cache is hidden in Downderry's Memorial Garden
I can't locate much on the history of the gardens. However the gardens opened in the 50's and include a war memorial and various flora and fauna.
The plants currently look a bit bedraggled, this is due to the storms this winter and also their age. The open space is maintained the the county council. The parish council is looking at whether they can maintain them instead. They have also been looking for local volunteers to help improve them to their former glory. I hope they succeed and are improved for future generations.
This is always a favourite stop on a beach walk. The high elevation allows great views and you can even see Looe on a clear day.
