If you've ever wanted to try your luck at Naked Geocaching, here's a great place to give it a try!* All you need to find this Night Cache is darkness and a decent flashlight. Thorn-free route; accessible via opne lawn except when muddy.
This NIGHT CACHE is situated in a park-like setting just off a generally illuminated walking trail at Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The treasure is at the end of the path/trail of eyes.
To find the START of the trail of reflectors, find the southernmost portion of the walking loop and shine your flashlight southward into the trees. A good starting point is to find Landscape-oriented Archway (GC1WY73), a micro cache also situated along the trail, and walk clockwise around the lake.
The reflectors are arranged in pairs, so as to look like spooky nocturnal creatures! It works best to hold the flashlight right next to you head, or use a headlamp. Follow the glowing pairs of peepers deep into the wooded lawn. The distance roundtrip could be a quarter mile or more.
* Naked Geocaching is defined as seeking and finding a geocache without the aid of electronic instruments: GPS nor mobile phone. Seeking and finding a geocache while in the buff is referred to aS Nude Geocaching.
