Snipe Hunt Night Cache
Growing up in Oklahoma high school guys would ask younger kids if they wanted to go on a snipe hunt to prove how brave they were. They would tell them that snipe eyes glow when you spot them with a flash light.  The kid who caught the most snipes would be the toughest. While the kids were stumbling around in the woods they would hear the older guys drive off and leave them stranded.
The coordinates posted will direct you to parking and the trail head. The trail is located in a secluded area where there is no traffic or houses to worry about. Once you are on the trail you are looking for glowing white snipe eyes (fire tacks). You should see snipes every 30 or 40 feet on the trail. Once you see a tree with multiple snipe eyes you have found ground zero. Search the area for a cluster of snipes and you will quickly have the prize in the bag.
I have increased the difficulty and terrain due to hiking at night. Round trip takes around 25 minutes. On the return route there are no fire tacks, when you come to a fork take the lower trail on the right.
A lot of planning and team work took place to hide this cache. Please be descriptive about your snipe hunt and night cache adventure. Family's / Group's add to the excitement! Photos are encouraged but not required.
