[EN] Welcome to the Ladybug Trail through the city of Hunedoara! During the Easter holidays, I decided to place some boxes for you all to find, in various landmark locations with special meaning for both the city, and myself personally. And with what else, but a ladybug accompanying me! Please don't remove the ladybugs from the caches.
Our next stop was the Hunedoara train station, a station which, for years, was the railway link between the Iron and steel based city and the rest of the country. It today bears the print of the many passing years. The Hunedoara trainstation was officially opened in 1950, and the architecture is specific to those years. As the Hunedoara Iron and steel factory was beginning to grow in the area, there was need for a means of transportation for both workers and the iron and steel produced there. An old placement scheme shows there were 23 lines working here. Today, there is only one working line, between Hunedoara and Simeria. The last unique detail still remains, although worn by the years. The wall paintings inside the train station show iron and steel workers at their jobs, and during their leisure time.
[RO] Bine ati venit pe calea buburuzei prin orasul Hunedoara! In perioada vacantei de Pasti, am decis sa plasez cateva cutiute de gasit, in diferite locatii cu o insemnatate deosebita, atat pentru oras, cat si personala. Am ales companion o buburuza! Va rog nu luati buburuzele din cutiile plasate :)
Urmatoarea oprire a fost gara din Hunedoara, care ani la rând a făcut legătura pe calea ferată dintre oraşul siderurgiştilor şi restul ţării poartă în prezent doar amprenta anilor perindaţi peste peroane. Gara din Hunedoara a fost dată în funcţiune în anul 1950, purtând amprenta arhitectonică a acelor vremurii. O data cu inceputul industriei siderurgice in Hunedoara, a fost nevoie de un mod de transport atat pentru calatori, cat si pentru marfa. O schemă a amplasamentului arată că aici au funcţionat 23 de linii. Ultimul detaliu unic inca ramane, desi putin uzat de trecerea timpului. Picturile de pe peretii interiori ai garii Hunedoara arata muncitori siderurgisti, atat la locul de munca, cat si in timpul liber.
