Il violino è nato a Cremona più di 400 anni fa dalle mani esperte di maestri liutai come Amati, Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu che hanno contribuito a fare crescere la fama dei violini cremonesi nel mondo intero.
A settembre 2013 a Cremona è stato inaugurato il Museo del Violino.
Il museo racconta la storia del violino, i sistemi di costruzione, le vicende delle famiglie di liutai cremonesi, ed espone capolavori, tra i quali preziose opere di Stradivari e delle famiglie Amati e Guarneri e strumenti contemporanei di livello internazionale.
Il museo ospita anche un Auditorium da 500 posti.
The violin was born in Cremona more than 400 years ago from the handcraft of the masters of luthiers like Amati, Stradivarius and Guarneri. They contributed to establish the world-renowned reputation of the Cremonese violins.
The Museum of violin was opened on September 2013 in Cremona. The museum describes the history of the violin, the making of the instruments and the life of the great luthiers of the past. The museum collections present both ,antique instruments, including precious masterpieces by Stradivarius as well as by the Amati and Guarneri families, and contemporary instruments of an International level.
The museum includes an Auditorium with 500 seats.
