SKC #1- Avila Beach park water break Traditional Cache

You can enjoy a Mediterranean micro climate at Avila Beach, Ca.  As a rare south facing beach with good wind protection from the hills this is probably the warmest beach in SLO county.  The view across San Luis Obispo Bay is classic rugged California coast and offers many wildlife viewing opportunities.  If you go to the beach there is a nice park at the edge of town.  This park, like all of the waterfront and down town is all 21st century construction as Unocal had to dig up the entire area and beach after it spent decades spilling oil with its leaky underground pipelines.  The professional bike race Amgen Tour of California stage 5 finish line was just east of the cache on May 16, 2013.

The cache is a standard spice jar with several trinkets to exchange.  It is located outside in a very high activity zone; however, it is protected and easily accessible so with a small amount of stealth you should have no problem retrieving this cache.  Hint is a spoiler.
