Geocache Description:

Stopped by here one day while caching for a qwik picnic lunch and noticed there was not a cache at this wonderful little spot. Close to I&M Trail System.

Located in a preserve of the original Argonne National Laboratory. It is said that this area is the disposal site for the world's very first nuclear reactor. After the initial tests at the U of I, the reactor Chicago Pile-1 at Stagg field was removed and reassembled here at the Manhattan Project site in Red Gate Woods.  Boy OH Boy the things you learn while caching! You are looking for a camouflaged tube resting IN the knot if a fallen down tree. PEACE! WTG tbkohl on the First to Find!
