DJ's Birth Date Challenge
This cache is not at the posted coordinates, but it is nearby
This challenge is a fairly simple one to achieve. Do what I did, find a cache that was placed on your birth date. Yes, the date you were born. I found GC228C and GC228D. These both were placed the day I was born. Obviously the older you are the harder this challenge will become. I had to travel 400 miles to find these caches. I've set the D/T rating for this challenge based on how hard it was for me to accomplish.
Here I am at GC228C

Of course for those of you who were born prior to May 3,2000 it would be impossible to find a cache placed on your birth date so there has to be an alternate method of meeting the challenge.
Since I want this to be fun for everyone, I will offer you two different methods of qualifying if you are lots older than me.
Alternate 1
Since geocaching is often promoted as a fun family or group activity, you can qualify for this challenge by taking a young person like me caching with you and finding a cache placed on that persons birth date. For example if Bacon Bitts took a bunch of his friends with him and found a cache placed on his birth date they would meet the challenge. Another example of an alternate way to qualify would be a grand parent bringing a grand child caching and finding a cache placed on the child's birth date. I hope this is the method most of you "old" people chose.
Alternate 2
For those of you who don't want to go caching with someone young like me, I'll let you qualify by finding a cache placed on your birthday, but that cache has to be close to my age, so lets say that is has to have been placed before 2004. That would make it at least 10 years old.
Logging requirements:
Simply identify the cache placed on your birth date and the date you found it in your log.
If you are using Alternate 1 please identify the cacher or young person who accompanied you to a cache placed on his or her birth date. If you are using Alternate 2 please list the GC code, the date it was placed and the date you found it.
For verification we will check the placed date of the cache you found and see if it matches the birth date you listed. We would love to see a photo of you (and the young person) at the cache you found. However it is not a requirement.
