The Macho Homemaker: I made a disturbing discovery while on a cache maintenance run.

The cache is missing.

So is the bridge.

It has been replaced by a sturdier, more modern, heavy beam bridge.

Since the joke no longer works, I must regretfully archive this cache.

We'll see about a replacement on some other visit.

Geocache Description:

A traditional hide near one of the best brown trout streams in the world...

This cache is a replacement for GC3M7DM - "Is it SAFE?..." due to muggle factors. It is in a higher-terrain spot, but it should now be winter friendly.

This bridge is just down the road from the homestead where I grew up. I have no idea how many times I've been here. It was one of my favorite places as a child.

As I got older, I took great enjoyment bringing girlfriends home from college over this thing. The cache title is a direct quote from "Brenda". Of course, this route was completely unnecessary, but since they probably thought I was an unwashed hillbilly anyway (albeit rather good looking), I decided to go with it.

Only one young woman didn't say a word as we drove over it. I was so impressed, I married her...26 years ago.

(Now she admits that she was thinking it...she just didn't say it...)
