Geocache Description:

I love cycling and the sport of cycling. I decided to hide some caches along my favorite training route. I have dedicated each cache to a favorite aspect of cycling: athlete, event, race, team etc. This route is very bike friendly. A good spot to start is Geist Park at Florida Rd. Pendleton has a gas station to get food and drink.

Claudio Chiappucci (born 28 February 1963 in Uboldo, Varese, Lombardy) is a retired Italian professional cyclist. He was on the podium three times in the Tour de France general classification — second in 1990, third in 1991 and second again in 1992. He had an aggressive and some would say reckless style of attacking. Famous for attacking on a mountain stage near the end of the 1990 Tour de France, in an attempt to throw challenger Greg Lemond on his heels. The attack backfired, with Lemond pulling back time and later the Tour win. El Diablos later exploits would include his famous solo breakaway, during the Tour de France to a mountain top finish in his home country of Italy, finishing in Sestriere
