Discovery Park is located in Gilbert, Arizona and offers something for almost anyone. Large fields make it a great place for outdoor sports (including lit basketball and sand volleyball courts) , ramadas make for nice shade for events, and long sidewalk trails are excellent for skating. There's also a 1-mile running trail bordering the park. And now Discovery Park is home to 4 of my Geocaches. The park opens at 5:30 am and closes at 10:00 pm. Thanks to the Town of Gilbert Parks & Recreations Department for allowing me to place these caches here.
This is a trail that runs off to the side of and above the rest of the park. I'm not certain of the reason this trail is even here, but it may be for the service vehicles of the park.
Cache is NOT on the freeway, but on the park side. There is no reason to be on the other side of the fence. If cache goes on to the other side of the fence (obviously try to avoid this) let me know.
