Geocache Description:

This cache was originally destined for the hedgerow at the end of the field to your left.

Besides running along the border between West and North Yorkshire this area is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Woodhouse Moor Rein is part of a collection of local earthwork features that are collectively known as the Aberford Dykes, whose functions are unknown but thought to be either defensive structures or terretorial boundaries. More information can be found by following the 'Related Web Page' link at the top of this cache listing.

Needless to say the cache had to go somewhere else, but you will get a good view of the Rein from here!

The cache has room for swaps and travel bugs.

MISSION OVERVIEW

The Aberfun mission will require you, or your hero cacher alter-ego, to dig deep into your caching knowledge, experience and instincts to work your way around a series of mixed caches that will keep you occupied for a while despite the easy nature of the walk. It is a varied caching experience from the straight forward find to locations that will call upon your caching experience to ask yourself 'where would I hide it?', and from 'clues in the title' to seemingly impossible puzzles.

The title gives you all the information you need - it will be in and around Aberford and you will have fun!

Although suitable as a family walk, pushchairs and wheelchairs will struggle on narrow footpaths that cross fields.
