Wakayama-Shi Station 【和歌山市駅】
Wakayamashi Station is a railway station in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.
To distinguish it from Wakayama Station (JR West, Wakayama Railway), the station is called "Shi(City)-Station".
Cache is hidden on the sidewalk in front of the station. Please bring your own pen.

鉄道が開通当時、和歌山の玄関は現在の紀和駅(当時の和歌山駅)だったそうですが、1903年に和歌山市駅が開業し大阪との行き来が便利になりました。
その後、旧東和歌山駅が和歌山駅になり、現在地元の方々は、和歌山駅と和歌山市駅を区別するのに『和駅』・『市駅』と呼び分けているそうです。
因みに県庁や、お城に近いのは市駅です。 しかしながら、ＪＲ系のＩＣカードは未だに使えません。。 （2014年4月現在）
キャッシュは駅前のバス乗り場近くにあります。書く物をご持参下さい。
