Cache and dash on the Birbane Glen road.
Easy cache'n'dash on a beautiful wee road between Largs and Greenock.
Lots of cyclists use it, especially at weekends, and it's a popular drive in the country. Single track with passing places and plenty of places to pull off without being in the way. it is also a great place to start walks into the hills.
It is is not a good road in any snow!!
When I was a kid this was a white gate so we called it the first white gate. This was where you came for a picnic down by the burn and a bit of fishing in the big pool at the waterfall. Go through the rusty old gate and down the hill - it's a brilliant spot.
Plenty of space to pull in. In fact you don't need a GPS!
