Heatholas Rock Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If the cache owner addresses the issues that lead to archival and contacts me within a reasonable period of time (6-8 weeks), it may be possible to unarchive the cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is slightly off trail, but it is super easy to reach. Watch out for cactai and snakes, as always, however you should find that the way to the cache is mostly dirt and not vegetation. Small green Backyardigans trowel near the cache under the rock angel (geopile nearby) for help with the minimal digging.

This is the rock where my boyfriend officially asked me to be his girlfriend on 6/12/13 (cheesy--I know), so we decided to put the cache here. It's a great spot to watch the sunset (but it does get dark fast once the sun has gone down), and you can see many places around Orange County from this location, such as Angel's Stadium, the Honda Center (fka the Pond), Disneyland/California Adventures right behind the Honda Center, John Wayne Airport off to the left and farther off on clear days, you can see Catalina Island and the skyscrapers of Los Angeles (I think cheeky).

Take a moment to enjoy the view, cloudy or clear, morning or evening. Make sure to write what you see in your log!

The cache is a Fossil box, roughly a 3" cube. Some room for swag.

Please leave the cache better than you found it, and report any problems.

The cache is most easily reached from the Canon side. There are a number of trails you can take, the easiest being the one across form the Cottages entrance at the top of the hill. You can park in either of the comminuties below, easiest at E. Stillwater, and can take the trail up from across E. Stillwater, but that's a bit longer, but you can walk up the trail parallel to the bike path/sidewalk (and even hit up a cache on the way!) to the trail across from the Cottages. Be sure to check out the other caches on the hill!
