Geocache Description:

The cache is a micro magnetic container with a log only, bring your own pen.

What a wonderful place for a cache. I can’t believe that no one found this spot before me. So I just had to put a cache here.
On October 10, 2009 the United States Army Air Force Cadet Memorial was dedicated at the Corsicana Airfield. Between 1941 and 1944 over 8000 pilot trainees were trained here in support of WWII. The cadets became pilots of air transports, bombers, and fighters. The memorial is open to the public  24/7 has lots of photo’s, flagpoles, walkways and a life size bronze statue of a WWII Cadet wearing a seatpack parachute. There is plenty of parking just outside the fence. So go visit and while there see if you can get the smiley.smiley

Since this is an open area and can have a lot of Muggle traffic, it was difficult to find a nice safe spot for GZ. But with a little imagination and some luck there was a perfect spot. However, you will need to walk through the memorial and over the bridge to get to GZ. There is no need to mess with the cedar. The cache is a round magnetic micro containing just an initial only log. So bring your own pen and happy hunting.

Please return it to its original spot so the next hunter can also make the grab.
