While geocaching in the area the other day I spotted an eagle and thought this would be a good place for a cache.
Visit this geocache and you may be lucky enough to see the eagle in her nest. Please do not disturb the residents, but you may take pictures from across the field if you want.
I found out more about this particular eagle because it has been tagged (tag name: IMA) and is well documented by the American Eagle Foundation (AEF). It is unusual for eagles to migrate but this one has been known to annually migrate to Florida in winter only to return to its homelands in summer. At this time of year it has made its journey north so this is an opportune time to get a glimpse. If you do spy her I'm sure you will agree she is a magnificent and beautiful creature.
