Geocache Description:

This, like its neighbouring cache, 'Ants in My Pants!', is named after a game we played in the 1970's.  We even remember the commercial, when they always exclaimed "Nothing is more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys!"

This quiet trail, with its wooded area and the creek running alongside, is ideal for nature lovers.  We have seen, on and near the trail, snakes, chipmunks, squirrels, skunks, rabbits, a beaver, foxes, coyotes (not recently), and deer.  It is good for bird watching too.  We see ducks and geese often, wild turkeys and great blue herons occasionally, and a large variety of small birds.  The Farmer's Daughters are particularly fond of the chickadees, red-winged blackbirds, brown thrashers, cardinals and gold finches.

This area was home to the "Dog Walks - Final" cache, so we felt an animal related cache was suitable to fill the void.  This cache welcomes your small toy animals for trading.  If you have any interesting wildlife sightings in your hunt for this cache, we hope you'll mention them in your log entry.  When this cache was placed, we saw a garter snake, a cute chipmunk, and two 'not-so-cute' turkey buzzards!

Please note that parking may be found at either end of this former railway trail.
