The cache is on the road right of way on a dead end road that once lead to the Balmoral Dam
The Balmoral Dam was built in 1922 to produce power for a feed mill and the village of Muscoda. in 1992 the production of hydroelectricity was stopped. In 2008 flooding damaged the dam which was removed in 2009.
