Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the Vassar Farms property, a 527 acre plot right in Poughkeepsie.  The Vassar Farm property has miles of well marked and maintained trails that will take you through woods and fields, past ponds, streams and marshes.  You will be treated to a vast variety of wildlife from deer to beaver, turtles to a multitude of bird species.  We have been given permission to use this area for our game, treat it with respect and enjoy what it has to offer.

This cache is on the Dark Blue trail.  River Song is a time traveling archeologist...or thief..or criminal...or...  Whatever the circumstances, she is a very important part of the Doctor's life.  She carries her own sonic screwdriver as she pops in and out of the Doctor's time line.  She also carries a diary full of her encounters with the Doctor, that she wont let him see as it's full of "spoilers" of when they will meet again.  She is rumored to have married the Doctor and is the daughter of two of his companions, Amy and Rory.

The Vassar Farm property is open from sunrise to sunset. Coordinates for parking and trailheads can be found on GC54JTT (Little Blue Box) Dogs are allowed and must be leashed. There is a trail map on a kiosk as the main parking area or on their web site at Bikes are allowed, but NOT on the Dark Blue, Green, or Black trails. I wouldn't recommend the use of bikes on the Yellow or Red trails either unless you consider yourself an excellent rider.
