Obec Zbojné vznikla zlúčením obcí Nižné Zbojné a Vyšné Zbojné v roku 1960. V období prvej svetovej vojny sa časti obce nazývali Óbajna a Újbajna.
Vojenský cintorín v Zbojnom sa nachádza severne od obce v lokalite nazývanej Pod Hrabinami. Počet hrobov je možné určiť iba podľa náčrtu, ktorý znázorňuje 34 hrobov. Podľa odhadu by sa na tomto cintoríne mohli nachádzať štyri masové hroby, štyri spoločné hroby a 26 jednotlivých hrobov. Toto tvrdenie, ale nemožno potvrdiť. Spolu je tu pochovaných asi 100 obetí. Štátna príslušnosť je známa u 18 obetí. Je tu pochovaných 12 príslušníkov nemeckej armády a 6 rakúsko-uhorských vojakov. Poznáme aj identitu týchto vojakov
Cintorín v Zbojnom bol zriadený podľa zaujímavého architektonického plánu. Po úplnom dokončení by patril medzi najkrajšie vojenské cintoríny na severovýchodnom Slovensku. Cintorín pripomína svojím tvarom románske okno. Podľa náčrtu mal byť oplotený. V strede východnej strany cintorína mal byť vybudovaný vchod, ku ktorému viedli tri schody. Po okrajoch cintorína rástlo šesť mohutných stromov, ktoré dotvárali prostredie cintorína.
V súčasnosti je celá plocha cintorína zarastená hrubým lesom. Aj keď pamätníci z dediny ešte spomínajú ako za komunistov tadiaľto pásli kravy. Tohto roku je odštartovaná obnova tohto cintorína. Už po prvej brigáde je vidno kus práce a ukázali sa aj hrobové miesta.
Túto kešku zakladám schválne už počas obnovy tohto miesta. Zaslúži si aby ste sa sem vrátili a sami sa presvedčili o tom, aké výnimočné miesta sú ukryté v našich lesoch.

Village Zbojné was created by the merger of villages Nižné Zbojné and Vyšné Zbojné in 1960. During the First World War, the village was called Óbajna and Újbajna.
The war cemetery is located on the north of the village in the area called Pod Hrabinami. The number of graves can be determined only by sketch that shows 34 graves. By an estimation at this cemetery could be four mass graves, four common graves and 26 individual graves. But this can not be confirmed. Altogether there are buried about 100 victims. Citizenship is known in 18 victims. There were buried 12 German and 6 Hungarian troops. The identity of those soldiers is known.
Cemetery in Zbojné was established according to an interesting architectural plan. After completion it would be one of the most beautiful military cemeteries in northeastern Slovakia. The cemetery’s shape recalls a Romanesque window. According to the sketch it should be fenced. In the middle of the east side of the cemetery an entrance with three steps had to be built. Around the cemetery grew six massive trees forming its shape.
Currently the whole area of the cemetery is overgrown with thick forest. Although witnesses from the village still remind as during the communist period they were grazing cows there. This year was started a restoration of this cemetery. Shortly after the first recovery is visible piece of work and shown the tombs.
