[Ro] Situată în inima Munților Apuseni, la o altitudine de 1440m, Cascada Moara Dracului este o cădere de apă în două trepte ce însumează circa 25m. Valea îngustă, pereții de piatră verticali, brazii uriași, peisajul de o rară frumusețe sălbatică fac din această cascadă una din cele mai minunate atracții turistice din zonă.
Acces: De la Cantonul Ciripa se poate ajunge la cascadă pe doua trasee:
Traseul 1: Pornim din spatele cantonului (N46 41.513 E22 40.682) pe traseul marcat cu triunghi roșu și bandă galbenă. După ce parcurgem 1.6km cu o diferență de nivel de 300m, ajungem la o intersecție de trasee. De aici mergem pe traseul marcat cu punct galben, traversăm Valea Moara Dracului și după 800m de la intersecția de trasee întâlnim traseul 2 marcat cu cruce albastră (N46 41.144 E22 41.897), pe care mergem mai departe. Peisajul și traseul devin din ce în ce mai sălbatice, dar după numai 500m cu o diferență de nivel de 100m, după ce traversăm două revărsări de bolovani, ajungem la destinație.
Traseul 2 (marcat pe toată lungimea cu cruce albastră): La 300m nord de Cantonul Ciripa (N46 41.726 E22 40.718), din drumul care duce la canton, se desprinde spre sud-est un drum pietruit marcat cu cruce albastră. Urcăm pe acest drum 1.4km cu o diferență de nivel de 150m până în punctul unde traseul marcat părăsește drumul pietruit și continuă pe un drum forestier (N46 41.306 E22 41.451). După 800m cu o diferență de nivel de 150m ajungem la punctul de întâlnire cu traseul 1 (N46 41.144 E22 41.897). Peisajul și traseul devin din ce în ce mai sălbatice, dar după numai 500m cu o diferență de nivel de 100m, după ce traversăm două revărsări de bolovani, ajungem la destinație.
Atenție: Datorită pereților verticali semnalul GPS este foarte slab (erori de 50m). Cutia se află între rădăcinile unui copac aproape de cărare. Poza de mai jos arată ce vede cutia. Nu uitați să luați cu voi spoilerul!
[En] Located in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains, at an altitude of about 1440m, the Devil's Mill Waterfall is a water drop in two steps summing around 25m. The narrow valley, vertical rock walls, huge pines, a wild landscape of a rare beauty make this waterfall one of the most wonderful touristic attractions in the area.
Access: From the Ciripa Lodge you can get to the waterfall on two trails:
Trail 1: Starting from the back of the lodge (N46 41.513 E22 40.682) on the trail marked with red triangle and yellow tape. After you travel for around 1.6km with a level difference of 300m, you get to a trails intersection. From here you continue on the trail marked with yellow dot, traverse the Devil's Mill Valley and after 800m from the trails intersection you meet trail 2 marked with blue cross (N46 41.144 E22 41.897), on which you continue. The landscape and the trail becomes more and more wild, however after only 500m with a level difference of 100m, you get to the destination.
Trail 2 (marked the whole way with blue cross): At 300m north from the Ciripa Lodge (N46 41.726 E22 40.718), from the road that goes to the lodge, a gravel road splits towards south-east marked with blue cross. We go on this road for 1.4km with a level difference of 150m until the point where the trail leaves the gravel road and continues on a forest road (N46 41.306 E22 41.451). After 800m with a level difference of 150m you get to the intersection point with trail 1 (N46 41.144 E22 41.897). The landscape and the trail becomes more and more wild, however after only 500m with a level difference of 100m, you get to the destination.
Attention: Because of the vertical walls the GPS signal is very weak (errors of 50m). The cache is place between the roots of a tree near the path. The picture above shows what the cache sees. Don't forget to take the spoiler with you!
