A superhighway for biking/walking, this section of the "Te Awa River Ride" runs from Cambridge to the Avantidrome Velodrome.
Plan to "enjoy the journey", as there plenty of views and picnic/rest stop options along the route, plus peace and quiet away from traffic. Next to the Avantidrome car park/trail start, is a free bike skills course, great for some fun for the junior cachers. If parking at the Avantidrome end there is an initial downhill section (and uphill on return!). The rest of the 3km route is almost flat easy riding.
