A beautiful area after a short walk on a marked path. This little resting spot has only a few grave markers, but is obviously cared for. Perhaps there was a farm here, as the stone wall suggests? Cache is a small camoed vitamin bottle. Bring a pen for the waterproof paper.
Stony Creek has a number of well-maintained old cemeteries out on the back roads. This didn't appear on any of our GPS maps, but a roadside sign caught our attention as we drove by.
As always:
1) Above all be respectful of the area you are in.
2) Follow all geocaching rules as per the guidelines.
3) Caches will never be placed in a way that you will have to tear anything apart.
4) Cache is available from dawn to dusk only.
5) Take a moment to appreciate your surroundings and reflect on those loved ones here.
We placed two in the area the same day, so check them both out. Bring a boat and continue another 2 miles to Lens Lake where there are interesting bog plants, four caches on the lake, and one on the shore near the launch site.
