The mural was completed in 2015 by students of the Hurley school along with a local artist. The geocache is located on a quiet street in Hurley along the Montreal River that passes under two historic railroad bridges. It is a beautiful, infrequently visited spot that only looks better because of the colorful mural.
The southern bridge was built in 1911 by the King Bridge Company for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. It is now a snowmobile/ATV bridge and the mural is painted on its foundation. The northern bridge was built in 1898 by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron company for the Soo Line Railroad. It is now a bridge for the Iron Belle nonmotorized bike path. The cache is located at its base.

This geocache was previously located on the Michigan side of the river and was known as Iron Belle Begins.
You're looking for a small green bison tube hanging from a tree branch, so it should be winter friendly. Due to the immense tree cover, the coordinates will be some distance off. The cache is hidden along the short footpath between the motorized and non-motorized trails that leads up from the river to the trailhead along Highway 51.
