Tucked away near the Indiana border is Chicago's East Side. Yes, Chicago has an East Side! There's a lot going on at this location: a mural highlighting important elements of East Side culture, an engineering marvel overhead, and a powerful monument to the Armed Forces. This is area is one of the last remnants of the working class Chicago of yesterday.
If you are hungry, the famed Calumet Fisheries is nearby, a relic from days when fishermen would sell their catch to small smokehouses such as this one.
