House Of Congress Traditional Cache

A nice hidden area in a densely populated part of town.

Congress Athletic Field - Located in a dense residential neighborhood, this area was part of the original Winnebago County Fairgrounds in the later part of the 19th century, before it moved to the area on the corner of Murdock & Jackson. The original expo building on this site was destroyed by a tornado in the 1880's. It was rebuilt shortly after. Sometime in the early part of the 20th century, this became an athletic field that was used by various athletic clubs and schools.
