Geocache Description:

Cache is an 762 MM ammo can just off Derrick Trail #33 at 6025 ft elevation.

A simple on location puzzle: bearing and distance - but the bearing is quite unique.

Parking is available at the Horton Creek Picnic Site (just past the bridge). The trailhead is located behind the Upper Tonto Creek Campground (by camping site #6). Trail begins a rather steep uphill for the first 500 feet; then it meanders through ponderosa pines and alligator junipers. Beautiful views of the Mogollon Rim. Derrick trail works well as a loop hike connecting with Highline #51 and Horton Creek #285 for a full day hike; currently there are 9 traditionals, 7 mysteries(that I know of), and 1 challenge cache on the loop.

Distance: 125 feet.

Bearing: you'll figure it out

Update: there is now a Derrick trailhead on the drive in with day use parking
