Cache N°20 : Col de Poya
À un peu plus de deux heures de route de Nouméa, Poya est un village d’exception. En effet, c’est le seul du pays à être partagé administrativement entre les provinces Sud et Nord. Le col de Poya marque le point d’entrée principal en province Nord. C’est aussi une halte bienvenue sur la route, avec un saisissant point de vue panoramique sur les montagnes de la Chaîne centrale et les immenses plaines en contrebas. Comme un livre ouvert sur ce qui s’offre à vous si vous êtes en route vers le Nord, ou comme un dernier clin d’œil d’au-revoir si vous redescendez vers le sud !

Cache No 20: Col de Poya
A little over two hours by road from Noumea, Poya is a village of exceptions. Indeed, it is the only village in the country to be administratively divided between the North and South Provinces. The Col de Poya [Poya pass] marks the main entrance to the North Province. It is also a welcome halt on the way, with a stunning panoramic lookout over the mountains of the central chain and the immense plains below. Like an open book on what is available to you if you are travelling into the North, or like a last goodbye wink as you go back south.
