This set of caches marks our 100th hide so we have used a bit different approach than usual for us. The caches are peanut butter jars with few trade items as we don’t expect children will go to these caches as you can see in the description below. All are all within a km of the end of the paved road but the more daring driver can drive much closer if they wish depending on the time of year. We walked to place the cache.
The final approach to each cache is a very steep climb and off the trail but the climb is through open reforested area.
There will be poison ivy in the Ganaraska so be careful about the way you dress. At the time of placing these caches, the poison ivy was not above ground.
Watch out, seasonally, for horses, ATVs, dirt bikes or snowmobiles along the road.
