Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed as part of the Mugdock May-hem event (GC4YCV4), and should help you to explore some of the park.

This is a sneaky wee camo-cache that will take you a little off the main paths to an open moorland called Peitches Moor.  Popular with dog walkers, it boast great views of the Campsies to the north and east, and the end of the Kilpatrick Hills to the south-west.

If you follow the path across the moor, you'll pass by the abandoned Mugdock Quarry (please don't cross the fence) which was used as part of the set for Danny Boyle's "Shallow Grave" (1994), and similarly in an episode of Taggart (see Clachanmans cache http://coord.info/GC1HPV3).  Following the path further on will take you down to Mugdock Loch, where you can rejoin the main paths to the castle and further around the park.

You may need tweezers to extract the log from this one.
