Geocache Description:

This cache will take you beyond the village of Lendalfoot.
At this coastal village of Lendalfoot with its sandy bay and breath taking views all the way to Ireland, a picnic table near the 'Voryag monument' tells the hamlets past. Including one of Scotland's most shocking and gruesome legends about the cave-dwelling cannibal, Sawney Bean. Maybe you should finish your sandwiches before you read the story.

The cache location is 2.3 miles south of the village of Lendalfoot. After stopping of to admire the village and visit the 'Voryag monument' , you will come to the high cliff car park, with views all around. Sawney Bean's cave lays beneath you down on the shore line. A footpath leads down if you are brave enough to explore the cave.
