The road down into the cemetery is a little steep and sometimes washes so please check before you drive down. There is room to park alongside Hwy 290 at the top of the cemetery. This is a daytime only cache. Please enjoy the cemetery in a respectful manner.
Mt. Carmel is a pretty little cemetery in a rural area and includes many unmarked graves.There has been a cache here for years, but it was recently archived. It is too pretty a little place not to have one. The cemetery is well maintained and still has active burials. Most of the tombstones can be found on findagrave or at the Melting Pot Genealogical Society in Hot Springs. The cemetery lies alongside Mt. Carmel Creek which flows into Lake Hamilton.
