Geocache Description:

This cache was previously part of the Junction Ramble Series. However, due to problems with several of the caches, the series has now been abandoned and this cache is being archived.

#09 in the Junction Ramble series.

This hide is just outside Steeton Hall Farm. The hall, a grade II listed building, was originally built in about 1475 for Sir Guy Fairfax. It is an elegant (and private) building, although it has been much altered over the years.

The cache is on Steeton Lane, just before it ends at the gate into the farm. Please keep to the right of way, which runs straight on through the farm yard, after finding the cache. Ground Zero appears to be an almost redundant artefact, not actually leading anywhere. You are looking for a 35mm canister.

Being a remote location, the residents at the adjacent hall and farm may understandably be suspicious of strangers hanging about. Please try to recover the cache as quickly as possible (using the hint if necessary) and move on. Thanks. Furthermore, the route to the next cache can be confusing. Details are given in the description of #10
