When we first started the amazing adventure that geocaching is, our family quickly fell in love. Out of the two little Ducklings, the eldest seems to really enjoy it (especially if there is a park within eye sight) and she asked to hide a cache for her birthday. Well her birthday was on May 11th and we have been on the lookout for the perfect spot ever since.
So while we were heading to another cache nearby, this amazing formation popped out of no where. While we marvelling at the rock, this big booming voice comes from the backseat...."THAT IS WHERE I WANT TO HIDE MY CACHE".
Originally placed at this location, the rock formation turned out to be on private property and we were asked to remove it from the area. We have relocated the cache away from the area but you are still looking for a camoed lock-n-lock with a few dollar store trinkets for the kids to trade as that is what our little Ducklings enjoy the most. When asked if this was a good spot, the booming voice was much quieter saying..."I liked the first option better".
The new hide is part of the rest area and as noted in GC4P5AA Caw! Caw! Caw!, the gates are open May 1 to October 1 from 9AM till 6PM. While still accessible during off hours, a bit more hiking may be required. There is a nice picnic area near the cache so bring some snacks and enjoy the quiet!
Congrats to the group of Cosmocooper, Sponge_Betty, Momford, Brawey, Aunty B, and Henry Jones on the FTF and LTF at the original location.
