My family and I spent Memorial Day weekend enjoying the many natural beauties Merrill Wisconsin has to offer. We stayed with relatives who also happen to be big geocaching fans. One thing I noticed was that there weren't very many caches outside of the Council Grounds series located within the Council Grounds State Park. This cache is located on a small island that sits in the center of a marsh just off the Wisconsin river. There are only a few ways to get there... kayak, canoe, or paddle boat. Small water craft are a must! During the winter months, snow mobiles and snow shoes are another option. When you find it, have a seat, enjoy the view. If you're lucky enough, you just might see Nigel... a black Pigmy Goat, that resides just north east of the island. Enjoy! Please make sure you leave the island exactly as you found it. Congrats to faerie_one on the FTF!
