The thumb squirrel is a fantasy animal which lives only on Crete. It's size is equal to a human thumb, due to the vegetation on the island (especially the Pitsidia/Matala/Sivas area). The cache is hidden in a former nest of urban thumb squirrels, which like to live in houses ;-) The cache can be used to store plant seeds & nuts for the squirrels.

The house where this cache is hidden is an approx. 100 years old traditional house of the village Pitsidia. The german woman (and her dog&cat) living here is guarding the cache and will be happy to have visitors ;-)
