RO JEFF 2.0 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

lotusfire: Thank you to everyone who left such touching logs for me to read to Jeff. This cache, like it's doomed predecessor before it, has reached the end of the road.
I will place something new in the area shortly. In the event that any cachers have this already loaded on their GPSr's, I will leave the log in place for the next little while so that a find can still be claimed.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a replacement for the ill-fated GC4T1GA "Reflections of Jeff". After replacing the original container for the 5th time, a staff of the hospital informed me that some resident muggles in wheelchairs liked my magnetic reflector cache container so much that they were affixing them to their wheels as swag. Gotta say I didn't see that one coming!

This incarnation of Jeff's dedication cache is in a much lower traffic area.

Jeff is one of those guys that everyone admires. Ever since we were kids he displayed an unwavering sense of morality and confidence in doing what was right, no matter what others thought. Fair-haired and broad-shouldered he is a scientist, a sailor, and a lover of the outdoors. We played together in various bands and were in the same school and Venturers Troup as kids. We built a 30 foot working trebuchet that could launch projectiles across the lake, got a tennis ball lodged in the school tuba during a winter camping trip (sorry M.L.), and learned how to play rock songs on the handbells together. As he matured Jeff became a brilliant scientist, and among other amazing things served as Watch Officer on a 59 foot brigantine which competed in races on the high-seas. Several years ago while still in his 20's, Jeff was diagnosed with a form of Lou Gehrig's disease. For the past few years he has been completely immobile, paralyzed and unable to move or communicate in any way. He stays at the Bruyère Continuing Care Centre (if you look up from GZ you can see the window of his room on the 5th floor). I look forward to reading your logs to Jeff during our visits.

Please check over your shoulder for muggles to ensure this cache stays around. Good luck! BYOP
