Stångby är en tätort som ligger ca 5 km utanför Lund. Fram till 2000-talet låg hela bebyggelsen, förutom enstaka hus, väster om järnvägen, och huvuddelen av stationssamhället fanns i en kil mellan järnvägen och Vallkärravägen. Befolkningsökningen kring 1970 beror på att samhället byggdes ut västerut med villaområden. Efter år 2000 tillkommer nya bostadsområden både öster om järnvägen och norr om Vallkärravägen. Inom en snar framtid kommer Stångby att byggas ut ännu mer, så passa på att njuta av det vackra slättlandskapet.
Stångby is a locality situated about 5 kilometers outside Lund. Until the 2000's all the buildings, except for the occasional house, were placed west of the railroad tracks, and most of the station society was between the railway and Vallkärra Road. The increase in population around 1970 is because society is built out west. After 2000, the arrival of new residential areas both to the east of the railway line and north of Vallkärra Road. Soon there will be more houses build outside Stångby, so take this opportunity to enjoy the view of the beutiful plains.
